Congratulations to all of you with 5th grade graduations coming up! It’s a bittersweet time of transition, excitement and apprehension of what’s to come. As Youth Director, I like to meet with the rising 6th graders by themselves. It gives me time to get to know them and them a chance to get to know me. I also want to hear their thoughts, questions and even concerns about moving into participating in the youth ministry program.
To create a time for us to meet each other, I’ll be hosting an ice cream social on June 9 from 7:00-8:00pm. Students won’t need to do anything besides just show up! We will play some games, make ice cream sundaes, and chat about youth group. We will meet in the youth building or Parks Place depending on the weather. Parents are more than welcome to attend! In fact, to meet our Safe Sanctuary standards, I am looking for one other adult to be present during the event. Please,
