As South Carolina Covid-19 case numbers have decreased, many municipalities across the Midlands have relaxed many of their mask and social distancing policies in response. Over the past few months, it has been encouraging to see members of the Trinity family navigate the ever-changing Covid-19 situation in our community graciously and with the love of Christ.
Effective now, Trinity will no longer require masks and social distancing in our worship services or church activities. However, with Christian love, we need to respect one another’s decisions about wearing masks and distancing, recognizing that there are those who may find the need to continue to wear masks and whose feelings may be different from our own. Furthermore, we call to mind the words of our Church Covenant, renewing our efforts to “strive to create and sustain an atmosphere of faith and love.”
As the holidays approach, we ask that you take extra care to stay healthy and prevent the transmission of Influenza or Covid to those around you.
I personally want to thank you and acknowledge your patient, joy-filled efforts to keep not only you safe, but your neighbors as well. Though the past months have been trying, it has been an encouragement to see the many ways in which Trinity is coming back better!
Blessings on the Journey,
Rev. Scott W. Smoak
