The Regan Roberts Youth Basketball League is an instructional basketball league held in Blythewood for children in first grade through twelfth grade. This league was started by Regan Roberts, a P.E. teacher at Bethel-Hanberry Elementary School, before her untimely death. It was her dream to offer a basketball program that would give children an opportunity to learn the fundamental skills of basketball, while building friendships that come from belonging to a team. She made this dream known to some members of Trinity United Methodist Church who made arrangements for this league to continue after her death. This league has been operating since 1998 with approximately 200 children participating each season.
